The Great Fourteen Welfare Society provides the following categories of welfare assistance to its Beneficiaries — defined as course mates, their spouses, dependent children, and the families of deceased and martyred course mates. All assistance is discretionary, need-based, and subject to availability of funds.
Financial Distress Grant
A need-based financial grant for course mates or their families facing genuine hardship, including:
- Serious illness, hospitalisation, or medical treatment costs
- Disability or loss of earning capacity
- Catastrophic loss due to accident or natural disaster
- Extreme financial hardship in exceptional circumstances
Grant amounts range from PKR 50,000/- up to a maximum of PKR 500,000/- per case, subject to verification and Governing Body approval.
Educational Scholarship
The Society provides educational scholarships to the children of course mates, with priority given to:
- Children of deceased or martyred course mates
- Children of financially distressed members
- High-achieving students (position holders or above 90% aggregate)
Scholarships of up to PKR 15,000/- per month are available for up to two recipients at a time, subject to available funds.
Marriage Grant
A one-time marriage grant is available to support the marriage of sons and daughters of course mates, with special priority for families of deceased officers:
- Daughters: up to PKR 300,000/-
- Sons: up to PKR 200,000/-
Maximum grant per case is PKR 500,000/-. Applications must be submitted in advance with supporting documentation.
Funeral Assistance
Upon the passing of a course mate, the Society provides immediate financial assistance of PKR 50,000/- to the family to help with funeral and burial expenses. The Secretary coordinates with the relevant Regional Coordinator to arrange a floral wreath on behalf of the course at the time of burial.
Annual Get-Together
Every year on or about 6 December — the anniversary of our commissioning — the Society organises the Annual Course Get-Together. This gathering is the heart of our fellowship: a day to celebrate our bonds, remember our departed course mates, recognise achievements, and renew our commitment to one another.
The Annual Get-Together is open to all course mates and is the primary occasion for the Annual General Body Meeting of the Society.
Wreath-Laying and Condolence
On the death anniversary of a course mate or the passing of an immediate family member (parent, spouse, son, or daughter), the Society lays a wreath on behalf of the course. Regional Coordinators ensure that course mates at the same station attend in maximum numbers as a mark of solidarity and respect.
How to Apply for Assistance
All welfare assistance is initiated by written application to the Finance Secretary at info@greatfourteen.org. Every case is assessed with care, verified by an Office Bearer, and decided by the Governing Body with full confidentiality.
